GRANDCHILDREN AND FAMILY OF CURLY HOWARD – FANS AND FRIENDS! The Three Stooges
“ Keep the Laughter Alive “
“ Keep the Laughter Alive “
It is an honor to be part of this royal bloodline and sharing this with our Family, Friends and wonderful Stooge fans.
Darren began singing, dancing, acting and playing the piano at the age of ten and has never stopped.
He graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in music and drama. He supported himself by playing piano in the orchestra pits of touring shows, the Berkeley Ballet Theatre School and hotel cabaret venues. He earned his Actors Equity card at the age of twenty doing an extended run of Side By Side By Sondheim at Plush Room at San Francisco’s York Hotel. After the show closed, Darren moved back to Los Angeles where he was raised and joined the West Coast Ensemble theater group in Hollywood. There, he performed as an actor and musical director and composer for original musical productions.
To broaden his horizons, he took to the sea on cruise ships for four years headlining his one-man show and seeing the world. Once back on land, he moved to New York City where he worked playing piano for classes at NYU and auditions at the Actor’s Equity Building. When Darren landed the role of ‘Oscar’ in the Broadway revival tour of 42nd Street, he was back on the road again. When the tour ended, Darren landed a Resident Musical Director position at Totem Pole Playhouse in Fayetteville, PA. Eleven years later, he still enjoys working there each summer.
Currently, Darren has three shows running simultaneously in Sarasota, FL. Ah, Wilderness at the Asolo Repertory Theatre, Laughing Matters at the Florida Studio Theatre and La Cage Aux Folles at the Players Theatre. His film credits include; Atlas Shrugged-Part II in the role of Richard Halley and The Meat Puppet, the role of Joel Kelly. While his love for music and the stage keeps
him traveling the country performing and directing regionally, his respect for his family lineage keeps him humble and proud!
Andrea began her love for singing in High School. She took her God-given talent to the next level, and spent many years singing in women’s professional A cappella groups. Her distinctive alto voice set her apart and is still quite compelling to this day.
When Andrea is not singing she is enjoying time with her family and playing with her dogs. Like Curly, a love for dogs comes naturally … Andrea ‘s sense of humor, infectious laugh and smile are just a few of the characteristics that make her a one of a kind Grandstooge.
Brad began a love of music & theater at a young age watching his older Brother Darren perform. Like his older siblings carrying a tune comes naturally. He also plays the drums and loves to jam with friends. Rock music is his genera of choice. This may have been influenced by his friend Steve Adler of Guns & Roses fame. The two lived together with Brads Mother Marilyn in the early 80’s.
Besides having a resemblance to his Grandfather Brad also enjoys shocking whomever he encounters with his humor and infectious personality. He definitely didn’t fall far from the Howard family Tree. Brad has been an inside sales person for the last 30 years in the telecommunications industry and also currently working on some new video material on his YouTube channel
